CW27's Jen

The CW Crew.

 Before coming to CW27, Jen was a student at James Madison University where she studied Media Arts. As a student she was actively involved in Campus Crusade for Christ where she participated on the "Skit Team" and led a Bible Study for women who struggled with self-image.

As a media student, Jen wanted to be a news reporter. She spent two of her college semesters interning at WHSV in Harrisonburg, a summer semester interning at WAVY in Portsmouth, and a summer semester interning at MSNBC in New Jersey.

Upon graduation Jen sent out resumé tapes to numerous news stations, but found no work and began to wonder if news was her calling. She got a job as a substitute teacher in Chesapeake until she found CW27 and quickly applied for a Jr. Producer position.

After a couple of interviews and a couple months of waiting, Jen started at CW27 on December 26th, 2006 and is loving her job!

  • Starbucks! Seriously though, my Opa (Grandpa in German) lives in Austria and I love visiting him. I would also love to explore the rest of Europe, especially the Mediterranean region.
