3rd Annual Music for the Hungry

Benefits the Foodbank of the Eastern Shore

The 3rd Annual Music for the Hungry concert will be held Saturday, July 19th at the Original Mallards Restaurant, 22327 Bayside Road in Onancock, to raise funds and awareness of hunger issues on Virginia's Eastern Shore.

The day-long music festival will feature a variety of local bands from noon to 9pm, activities for kids throughout the day, Zumba demonstrations, food, and a variety of beverages. Food and funds raised will provide meals to hungry residents in areas served by the Foodbank on the Eastern Shore, a branch of the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.

"Each year this event gets better and better" said Charmin Horton, Branch Manager of the Foodbank. "We are thrilled to have Mallards restaurant do this event again to benefit our hungry neighbors on the Shore."

Bands performing include: Quadpod, Myne Dzai, Coast 2 Coast, Timmy Mo, Matt Young, Stone Lucy, Helena, Cottonmouth, and Melodic Groove.

Tickets are $5.00 for adults and children under 10 years old are free. Tickets are available at Mallards Sidewalk Cafe, 23410 Front Street in Accomac; Mallards at the Wharf, Two Market Street in Onancock; and the Foodbank on the Eastern Shore 23540 Coastal Boulevard in Tasley.
